Mang, ese ciego con alas
suelta las bridas de la noche
Rann es su amigo, en el cabalga.
Duermen las vacas sueños torpes
Los corderos tiemblan,balan
y tras la puerta se esconden.
Somos dueños hasta el alba
Queremos  siempre ser libres,
fuerza,pasión desatada.
Que abunde la caza.
Será asi, si en la Ley vives

Naturaleza muerta con lorito segun Georg Flegel
23,4 x 17,2cms
Dibujo coloreado a mano

By the time that I wanted to emulate somehow this little picture of Flegel, a Czech painter who received citizenship Frankfurt in the XVII century , and who specialized in still lifes with flowers, always loaded with symbolism, much to the taste of the time .

Apparently the little picture of Flegel is an innocent representation of a parrot with fruit. Nothing is further from the truth.

In his compositions find symbols that embody the principles of good and evil fighting for the human soul.

If you look to the left of the work are a fly and an apple. Flies, as Reyes II, 1 (Belecebú: Lord of the Flies) would be considered animals of the devil, and deepens the meaning apple being the fruit of temptation and the expulsion from paradise.

The parrot, however, refers to the resurrection, strawberries and cherries are the fruit of paradise.

Seems more ambiguous representation of nuts and gnawed open as though the nut was a symbol of Christ, and the shell symbol of the wood of the cross, by extension, other nuts, that are open and gnawed the parrot, can show the nature of the sacrifice that Christ did with his life.

My collage version retains some of the symbolism but more festive.

The apple has been replaced by a more Mediterranean fruit and solar, orange, and instead of a fly I have introduced a butterfly.
At the end, in my version there is no struggle, has well earned and fortunately the modern view of nature to behold us from living things as good or bad.
